滴滴快的融资20亿美元

The Chinese car-hailing app company Didi Kuaidi said it secured US$ 2 billion in its first round of fundraising. The country’s most popularly used car-hailing app said the investment was led by shareholders Alibaba Group Holding, Tencent Holdings and Ping An Ventures. Didi Kuaidi merged in February but still operate out of separate offices. The company’s main rival, Uber, said it will open a separate company to compete in China. Didi Kuaidi president Liu Qing said the company planned to raise US$ 1.5 billion, but was able to tap into more investment on enthusiasm for growth in the use of mobile Internet technologies for transportation. The company will use the money to fund improvements to the app and user experience, said Liu. Car-hire companies have engaged in aggressive competition against each other, while expanding rapidly in a legal gray area. Tactics including the use of subsidies to various high-profile marketing promotions have stirred the ire of local transport bureaus. According to a person close to the transport ministry, a plan for taxi industry reform is being formulated, which will also cover oversight for car-hire services.
