American actress Natlie Portman is in Beijing, and sat down for the Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum on Sunday. The meeting, which discussed ways to drive Chinese films to a larger market, and some of the challenges faced in co-producing movies, was part of the 6th Beijing International Film Festival. Speaking at the forum, Yu Dong, president of Bona Film Group, predicted that the box office in the Chinese market may reach 200 billion yuan in five to eight years. Portman looked radiant in a flowing, knee-length gown, joined by attending guests, including Hong Kong animator Raman Hui and Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore. The Oscar winner also premiered her directorial debut 'A Tale of Love and Darkness' at the festival. The film is based on the memoir of Amos Oz, who is an Israeli writer and journalist. The plot set during the British Mandate and the first days of the state of Israel, focuses on the relationship between the young Oz and his mother, and his first steps as a writer. The 'Black Swan' star also has a starring role in the film. The 2016 Beijing International Film Festival runs until April 23rd.
